In the above, we could see that the forms of armour (truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation) are not mere words. They are God’s word applications (like computer applications) and you are to learn how to operate in them.
The use of each component of the armour of God involves the purposeful application of these applications. The purpose is to ensure we remain untouchable to the devil.
The reason is this, devil cannot tempt you with his temptation, but he can touch a man with carnality. Amour of God is a spiritual wisdom, and it is all about using the word of God to guide your stand – what goes into you, what goes on within you, and how you react to what people say to you or what experience/life makes you feel.
Put on the truth as a belt – A belt holds you tight, and we know the word of God is truth. This means to constantly expose yourself to the word of truth and before you know you live by it
Breast plate of righteousness – the chest guards the heart. Let the work of God be the sieve of your heart, so that only things in line with God’s word will be able to pass through
Faith – Battles might be in many forms but their aim is to humiliate you, and that is where your understanding of what God says about you comes in. The bible says it can put off the blazing arrows of the evil one
There might be some that lie already in your heart, the bible says to ‘Embrace the power of salvation’s full deliverance, like a helmet to protect your thoughts from lies….’ in Ephesians 6:17 TPT
